Ross’s Belfast Ginger Ale Poster features artwork from original Belfast mineral water and ginger ale advertising designs dating from the late 1800s and early 1900s. Advertisements such as these were once widely displayed in pubs, bars and spirit grocers throughout Ireland.

This poster is original 1980s print stock produced from the historic advertisement artwork and printed as a lithographic poster for the Irish pub trade. These posters were supplied to pubs across Ireland as décor and are not modern reproductions. Remaining stock is finite and increasingly scarce.

These advertisements once appeared in pubs and spirit grocers across Ireland. This poster is a later print, produced in the 1980s and supplied to pubs as décor.

Belfast mineral water and ginger ale advertising formed an important part of traditional Irish pub interiors throughout the twentieth century. Posters such as Ross’s Belfast Ginger Ale became recognised features of Irish public houses, combining bold commercial typography with distinctive period design.
