Coleraine Whisky Poster
£30.00
-
Coleraine Whisky by Robert A. Taylor Ltd., Distillers, promoted as “supplied to the House of Commons since 1843”.
This design features illustrations of the Giant’s Causeway and the Salmon Leap, Coleraine — linking the whiskey directly to the landscape and identity of the north coast of Ireland.
The poster also carries the original printer’s mark of WM Brownlie Ltd., Liths, Glasgow, reflecting the character and craftsmanship of Irish whiskey advertising from the late 1800s and early 1900s.
Printed in the 1980s from original Irish advertisement designs, this is original print stock supplied to pubs as décor — not a modern reproduction. Stock is finite and increasingly difficult to source.

Seen in Irish pubs and homes worldwide, this Coleraine Whiskey poster is pictured in Keeley’s Bar, Greencastle, Inishowen, Co. Donegal.
These advertisements once appeared in pubs and spirit grocers across Ireland. This poster is a later print, produced in the 1980s and supplied to pubs as décor.
Today, Coleraine Whisky posters are still recognised from the walls of traditional Irish pubs and are popular for home bars, pub interiors and distinctive Irish-inspired spaces.
