Gold Plate Cigarettes advertising poster based on original Irish tobacco advertisement designs from the late 1800s and early 1900s. Posters like this became widely recognised through their use in traditional Irish pub interiors throughout Ireland.

This poster was printed in the 1980s from original advertisement artwork and formed part of the print stock supplied to pubs as décor. It is original 1980s print stock — not a modern reproduction. Produced as a lithographic print on durable high quality 170gsm art paper. Stock is finite and increasingly difficult to replace once sold out.
