Ross’s Royal Table Waters Poster features artwork from original Belfast mineral water advertising designs dating from the late 1800s and early 1900s. Mineral water advertisements such as these were once displayed throughout Irish pubs, bars and spirit grocers as part of everyday commercial advertising.

This poster is original 1980s print stock produced from the historic advertisement artwork and printed as a lithographic poster for the Irish pub trade. These posters were supplied to pubs across Ireland as décor and are not modern reproductions. Remaining stock is finite and increasingly scarce.

These advertisements once appeared in pubs and spirit grocers across Ireland. This poster is a later print, produced in the 1980s and supplied to pubs as décor.

Belfast mineral water brands became closely associated with the atmosphere and character of traditional Irish pubs throughout the twentieth century. Posters such as Ross’s Royal Table Waters combined decorative typography with strong commercial branding and became familiar features of pub interiors both in Ireland and abroad.

Today these posters are recognised from the walls of Irish pubs and are popular for home bars, hospitality interiors, Irish-themed spaces and collections focused on historic Irish advertising and pub culture.
